Progress on the Girls' Cloak
After developing the pattern, I decided to make this first in an inexpensive fleece rather than the $10 a yard wool melton. My thought is that instead of hemming the cloak unlined, I will make it in the fleece first, test the fit, and then make the cloak from the wool and use the fleece to line it. This will make a reversible cloak: pink fleece with the pretty embroidered and sequined butterflies on one side and the pink melton with a decorative border on the other. That way it can be worn either side out and the double layer will be doubly warm.
